First Bump Picture........ (13 Weeks)

                                              

                         There's a baby in there!!!!!  I'm so incredible......I "grow" people........lol

To those that are into fashion, I need help selecting attire for my maternity pictures.  Thomas will be wearing his uniform in some of them, so I want to coordinate with that as well.  Also, to all of my natural sisters, I need a hairstyle for my pics as well.  I am getting my make up professionally done, so I definitely need a fabulous hairstyle.  Glenda, I need cute shoes......wedge heels please.  Oh I need more hair products ladies :) 

13 Weeks.........We Have a Peach

This week we have a peach in our fruit basket.

                         

Baby Jones your aunt Chamel loves peaches, so you better watch out.  LoL  Here is a look inside week 13:

       

   

Baby's now the size of a peach!

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords...savor this, their nonfunctional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with his head now only one third the size of his body. And intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy -- much more convenient.

                                      

   

Pre-Natal Appointment #2 (16 July 2013)

All went well at this appointment.  Dr. Stutes followed up and checked everything from my emergency room visit and she said everything looked PERFECT!!!!!!  Such great news to hear.

Baby Jones at 11 weeks and 2 days:

       

Baby J's heart rate was between 158-160 bpm.  This baby is very active already.  It looked as if he or she was doing aerobics at this appointment.  My baby sister Jasmine pointed out the "Glen Young" nose, which I do have.  ;)

Baby Jones at 12 weeks:

  

Growth has been very rapid.  My OB doc let me feel the top of my uterus at my last appointment.  It was very weird for me.  The make up of the human body is amazing.  

This Week's Activity:

Make a baby budget. Sit down with your partner to discuss how you'll handle new-baby expenses — clothes, food, diapers, toys, and gear can add up fast. Brainstorm where you can trim your budget to make room for your baby's needs. Consider making some budget adjustments now, and start banking your savings for your baby.

Trip to the Emergency Room

Tuesday, July 12, 2013 the Jones family took a trip to the emergency room.  I was cramping a little more than normal and saw bright red blood when I went to use the restroom.  It wasn't enough to soak a pad but we didn't want to take a chance.  We did blood work, urinalysis, and abdominal and vaginal ultrasound.  The doctor and nurses did a thorough checkup.

The staff indicated this will be a big baby or I have the wrong due date.  What do you think?

Me and My Uterus

My doctor is the best.  She explained my growing pains (the pulling and stretching feeling) through visuals.

 

This is the before and after of my uterus right now.  At 10 weeks my uterus went from a small pear (as seen on the right) to a large grapefruit (as seen on the left).  That's a significant difference.  Well, more growing to come.  Stay tuned.

10 Weeks Down.........30 More to Go

Woot woot!  We are in the double digits this week.  Super excited.  The LAST month of the first trimester.  Well, this week we have a prune or kumquat as seen below.

Overall, I am enjoying this journey, morning sickness and all.  Rapid growth is now starting to take place and we are super excited!!!!!

Say Yes to the Dress

So I've been looking around for loose fitting dresses because its hot down here in south Louisiana.  I am looking for something I can grow into and that will last until baby time.  Here are a few I've found on Target.com. Pickle Me Pink...........

Baby dill pickles sprinkled with sugar does a body good.  Yes I ate all four as my snack.  ;) soooooooo if you just happen to want to bless my soul just bring me dill pickles lollllllll. Love you!
